Biography

Francine M. Kaplan was born and raised in New York and attended Hunter College. She was a valedictorian of her graduating class and has earned B.A. degrees in Communications and Education. She began her career in Boston and worked for the leasing department of BancBoston, Boston, MA, where she spent significant time negotiating agreements on the leasing of large commercial equipment. Upon relocating to New Jersey, she attended the evening division of Rutgers Law School, Newark New Jersey, while operating a small NYC-based trucking company. After graduating from law school, Francine worked as a law guardian, representing minors involved in the New Jersey Child welfare system. She was awarded Advocate of the Year by Palisades Regional Academy in 2013 for her strong advocacy skills on behalf of her minor clients placed at that school. Her experience also includes representing small businesses in civil litigation matters, individuals in divorce, visitation and adoption matters. Francine also teaches several courses through Rutgers, Office of Continuing Professional Education.

Francine brings to The Law Offices of Michael P. McGuire, LLC her keen negotiation skills and her empathy toward individuals who have been treated unfairly, who have been wrongly accused, and who need legal advice as it relates to criminal and family law matters.
